Fletcher’s Meadow Secondary School presents at Brampton Creative Economy Summit

Students and staff from Fletcher’s Meadow Secondary School will present the work of their Arts and Technology programs at the Brampton Creative Economy Summit on Feb. 2 at the Rose Theatre in Brampton. Students will perform a 50-minute presentation, which includes a 10-minute student produced film, followed by a panel discussion with teachers and students from the arts and technology programs. The summit will bring together leaders in the local arts community, business representatives, politicians, community partners and members of the future creative economy workforce.

Free family activities offered during week-long literacy celebration

The Peel District School Board’s Parenting and Family Literacy Centres, Hubs and Readiness Centres will join other community agencies to offer a variety of free activities for families from Jan. 22 to 28 in honour of Family Literacy Day on Jan. 27.

January deadline set to register children for French immersion, extended French

Are you thinking of registering your child for French immersion? For the 2012-13 school year, parents must register children for entry into grade 1 French immersion or grade 7 extended French by Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.
