Online learning
Learning online is similar to learning in a classroom even though students are outside the classroom setting. Students still read, work independently, and as a member of a group, complete assignments and interact with their teacher.
Do you have the skills and technical knowledge to be successful in an online course?
Students who are successful in an online course are usually:
- self-motivated
- responsible
- well organized
They have good time management skills, can communicate clearly and have established
study habits. Their computer skills are above average. If this describes you, you have some of the requirements needed to learn online.
How will students be assessed and evaluated?
Students will be evaluated using a variety of assessments similar to a regular classroom. A number of final exams will be proctored.
How do I get started?
Talk to your guidance counsellor about your choice to take an online course. You can familiarize yourself with school-online by visiting con-ed-online.
