Quick tips for success

Here are some quick tips to ensure that students will succeed at Credit Summer School. Students should:

  • attend class each day on time
  • focus on course work only and delay seeking daily employment during summer school
  • review classroom work daily and complete all homework assigned
  • ask for help if they are unsure what the instructions are; how to proceed or they do not understand the concept being taught
  • be present for all evaluations including the final evaluation in order to receive their credit
  • be well organized, demonstrate initiative, and work independently to gain skills which will allow them to be successful

Parents/guardians also have a role in student success. They need to be aware of the attendance policy and course expectations in order to help their son/daughter be success at summer school. This information is outlined in the student handbook which is distributed to all students on the first day of classes.
