CIDA International Development Workshop
The Peel District School Board will host a free international development workshop for grade 4 and 5 students and teachers on May 4 and 5, 2011 at the HJA Brown Education Centre.
Five Canadian development organizations will facilitate 30-minute hands-on learning stations focused on millennium development goals.

A special event for students and teachers to learn more about leadership, global citizenship and millennium development goals.
- Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
- Promote gender equality and empower women
- Reduce child morality
- Ensure environmental sustainability
- Develop a global partnership for development
Lunch will NOT be served at this event. Students and teachers are encouraged to bring a litter-less lunch.
Supply coverage IS provided for one teacher per school, however transportation is not covered. (Please contact shannon.mcmillan@peelsb.com for details)

Registration Information :
- Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with maximum enrolment of 300 participants per day.
- Twenty students per school.
- This a one-day workshop is offered twice. Teachers need to select which day they want to attend (May 4 or 5).
- Students must complete a permission form and return it to the school before the event.
- Registration will close when we reach 300 students/teachers per day.
