A day in the life of a Getamock villager

Getamock is a small village of less than 500 people in the Karatu District of Tanzania, Africa. Most of the houses in the village are very small (only one room) and made of wood, mud and straw. They have no bathrooms or running water. Various roles and duties are divided between the men and women. Some start their tasks as early as 5 a.m. and go to bed around 11 p.m.

Listed are some daily tasks of men and women in the village. Choose (W) if you believe the task is completed by women, choose (M) if you believe the task is completed by men, and choose (B) if you believe the task is completed by both women and men. Click submit to see how you well you did.
