Castlemore Public School takes leadership to the next level
Castlemore Public School participates in many leadership programs including MINGA, where students get a chance to learn about global issues and go on field trips such to local soup kitchens or animal shelters. Grade 6, 7 and 8 students can join and are divided into four groups.
Castlemore also fundraises. They recently raised money for Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart. They also participated in milk bags for Haiti where students would bring in milk bags and they would be sent to a factory where they were turned into beds and mats and sent to Haiti. Another fundraising opportunity was Hope for Japan where students donated money and wrote a message of hope for people living in Japan.
Students from Castlemore also went to the Leadership Now! conference and some of the students became inspired and started their own Dance Crew.
