Name of community agency/organization:  Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) and M&M Meat Shops

Position title: (M&M Charity BBQ Day) Volunteer on Saturday May 7th 2011

 

Description of community agency/organization: National non-profit research and education foundation

 

What you will do: Greet donors; serve burgers/hotdogs/beverage and chips to donors; setup and take down; keep serving area tidy and clean; take cash; keep condiments and drink containers full. Work outdoors regardless of weather on Saturday May 7th  2011 at one of 8 locations within Mississauga serving hamburgers, hot dogs, bags of chips and drinks to donors.  Each M&M Meat Shop across Canada will be serving a hot dog/hamburger/veggie burger + bag of chips + drink for $2.50 to raise funds for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada.  This is a one day event.  Student volunteers will receive a letter indicating number of hours volunteered or CCFC volunteer will sign your volunteer sheet for number of hours volunteered.

Skills required: None, will be trained at the M&M Meat Shop by CCFC volunteer captain. Please dress according to the weather, event will take place rain or shine on Saturday May 7th, 2011.

 

Skills you will learn: Greet donors, take food orders, keep supplies organized, help a great cause and meet people in your community.

 

Length of time required: 2 hour shifts from 10 AM to 4 PM Saturday May 7th, 2011. (can also volunteer up to 8 hours from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday May 7th, 2011)
