Description of community agency/organization:
CHEER Canada is a completely volunteer driven not-for-profit for social justice, aiming to improve the health, education and economic condition of the needy children and their families in Pakistan.


Position title:
Student Volunteer


What you will do:
Work with your student peers to raise awareness about children in need of education, health and food/shelter in impoverished villages in Pakistan. Raise awareness about the impact of natural disasters on children and how to help them. Assist with organizing community events to raise awareness.


Skills required:
Team spirit and passion to help those in need.


Skills you will learn:
Team work, communication skills, fundraising event planning, gain insight into the non profit sector and international development programs.


Length of time required:
20-30 hrs


Location:
Flexible, from home, school, etc
