The Healing Cycle Foundation

Description of community agency/organization:
Founded in 2005, the Healing Cycle Foundation is a volunteer-based, registered charity that honours life by raising and stewarding funds to hospice palliative care services that provide compassion and uphold dignity for those living with a terminal illness and their loved ones. The Foundation runs an annual fundraising bike ride with 500-1000 cyclists and 500-600 volunteers.

Position title:
Several Different Positions Available

What you will do:
During the Healing Cycle fundraising ride, there are several volunteer options over a 4-day period from June 21-24th. Students can earn up to 27 volunteer hours over the course of the event.

Skills required:
Common sense and an ability to "think on your feet".

Skills you will learn:
How to work as a team and ensure the safety of the individual participants.


Length of time required:

Anywhere from a few hours to 4 days
