BNRC operates through the utilization of strong, proactive locally-based community support systems, leadership, programs and the provision of settlement services for newcomers to Canada."

Position title:

Administrative Volunteer

Description of community agency/organization: BNRC provides programs and services for community seniors, parents and children, young moms, newcomers to Canada and preschoolers.

What you will do: The qualified candidates will perform a variety of reception duties including answering phones, faxing, photocopying, internet searches, and occasional communications to various agencies.

  • dedicated
  • maturity to deal with confidential information

Skills you will learn:

  • office skills
  • working with the Internet
  • experience dealing with the general public

Length of time required: Weekdays during normal office hours, three to four hours per week for six months.

Location: 50 Kennedy (at Queen) and 168 Kennedy (at Steeles) in Brampton
